The Dixie Belles attended one of the most stirring reenactments of the year. The Suffolk Chapter United Daughters Of The Confederacy Chapter  173 and the Tom Smith Camp SCV ,along with Suffolks Historical Society hosted a most moving depiction of the Departure of Confederate Troops that took place May 3rd 1861. A visitor would have been taken back in time as they visited each room of the Riddick Folly House . Living History scenes were played out on the Riddick family's life.
Out side the troops gathered for their March down Main Street to the Train Station where the farewell and prayer was given.
