May 21, 2011 is a day of  Jubalation for the Dixie Belles. We were celebrating a long awaited dream of becoming A Daughter of The Confederacy. Long hours of research and love for our Southern Confederate Ancestors were rewarded when we received our Certificates and  Acceptence Letter  from  our Chapter President Karen Grigg. Our Chapter is growing with every meeting . New prospective member JoAnn Dunker  made an appearance and told of her desire to become a UDC Daughter. Our Original 1800's Charter was brought to the meeting with previous UDC members Signatures. What a surprize Dawn Riddle discovered when she found Fanny Thomas 's name on the charter. Mrs. Thomas was the original owner of Mansion on the Main where we were holding our meeting  that day.
